Our People

Surabhi Verma is the Director of Sparsh For Children and works as a Consultant for children with special needs. She has been working with children with different abilities since 2002. She has a wide range of experience working with children with neurological disorders like Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Difficulty, Intellectual Disability, Down’s Syndrome, Slow Learners and Attention Deficit Disorder over the past 6 years. She specialises in children between the age of 2–15 years.

Over the years, she has found her niche working for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Dyslexia. She has worked with various hospitals and Therapy Centres as a Consultant before founding Sparsh for Children in 2005. While spending most of her time with Sparsh for Children, she continues to work with number of schools and therapists advising them on how to structure their curriculum and design the training modules for their staff. She has also been involved in providing theoretical and internship trainings to budding special educators across various institutes. She has been organising workshops for parents to share knowledge and to provide inputs for continued intervention of children at home.  

Surabhi completed her PG (Cert.) in Autism (children) from University of Birmingham,UK. She also holds her Masters in Child Development from MS University, Vadodra, Gujrat. She has also completed an Advance certificate in Teaching Children with Dyslexia as well as PG (Dip.) in Developmental Therapy from Delhi University. She takes keen interest in the theoretical developments in the fields of Autism and has written various papers for the same. She continues to attend latest conferences and workshops on Structured Teaching, developing Communication Skills and Behaviour Management to keep herself up to date on the latest developments in the related fields.

Our Team

The team at Sparsh for Children consists of trained Special Educators, Psychologists, Occupational Therapist and Speech Therapist. All the members of the team come from varied backgrounds and have experience of working with children in school, hospitals and clinics. They work hands on and implement the program after discussions with each other and the case in charge. The parents are also an important part of the team as they are kept aware of all the plans and developments that their child makes.
